Woman brutally beats up and brands son with iron rod in Jajpur of Odisha
Jajpur Town: A six-year-old child was brutally beaten and seriously injured by his own mother in Jajpur Town of Odisha. Such a heartbreaking incident has been seen in Jhinkiri village of Alakund police station of Jajpur district.
According to the reports available, the mother identified as Nandini Jena dragged her child out of her mother-in-laws arms and beat him up black and blue.
The boy was severely beaten at home and burnt at 14 places on his body. After learning about this, the child’s grandfather, Kailas Jena, lodged a complaint at Alakund police station. Alakund police station officer Prashant Kumar Das reached and rescued the injured child and handed him over to Jajpur Child Protection Officer.
His son-in-law is living separately from Kailas. Nandini got angry about this and tortured her daughter unspeakably. After an investigation by the Children’s Welfare Society, the child has been allowed to live with his grandparents. On the other hand, the child’s mother has filed a complaint against her mother-in-law. Detailed reports awaited in this regard.
