Uncle sexually assaults minor girl on pretext of taking her to her sick mother in Jajpur
A 10th class girl student was raped by her own uncle in pretext of taking her to her sick mother in Jajpur town of Odisha.
Jajpur: A 10th class girl student was raped by her own uncle in pretext of taking her to her sick mother in Jajpur town of Odisha.
According to sources, the victim was returning home from school, when the accused, Dayanidhi Jena approached her and told her that her mother has been admitted to Bhadrak District Headquarter Hospital. After listening about it, the victim went with him.
The accused and the victim took a bus to Bhadrak. However, they departed in mid-way, where the accused allegedly raped her. After sexually assaulting her, he also threatened her to not describe her ordeal in front of anyone and later dropped her at her house.
On reaching home, the girl informed her parents about the incident. Following this, the parents of the victim filed a written compliant in the nearby police station.
Based on the complaint, police have initiated a probe into the matter. Further detailed reports related to the case are awaited.
