Temperature falls to zero degrees in Mayurbhanj, Odisha to experience severe cold again

The temperature in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha has fallen to zero degrees Celsius said reliable reports on Saturday. 

Karanjia: The temperature in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha has fallen to zero degrees Celsius said reliable reports on Saturday. Mayurbhanj is shivering. The minimum temperature has dropped to zero degree in Mayurbhanj district.

The temperature in Chahala was recorded at 3 degrees. Dense fog and coldwave continues in Jashipur, Karanjia, Thakurmunda, Raruan and Shukrili areas in the foothills of Similipal National Park.

People’s daily life has been disrupted due to severe cold in the district. However, due to severe winter in some places, even thick winter clothes have failed to provide sufficient warmth. As a result, people have been forced to sit near fireplaces for hours. The streets are deserted in the morning and evening for the bitter winter chill.

It has been predicted by the MeT that there will be a temperature drop again during the night. Temperature will be below 15 degrees in coastal Odisha and below 10 degrees in interior Odisha.  On the other hand, due to the influence of western storm, there is a possibility of light rain in North Odisha on January 17.
