The Swearing-in-Ceremony of the newly appointed Chief Justice of Orissa High Court is scheduled to be held on January 7 said reliable reports. 

Cuttack: The Swearing-in-Ceremony of the newly appointed Chief Justice of Orissa High Court is scheduled to be held on January 7 said reliable reports.

Reports say that, Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh, Judge, Patna High Court shall be sworn-in as the Chief Justice of High Court of Orissa on January 07, 2024 (Wednesday) at 10.00 am.

The ceremony shall be held at the eastern side lawn (Old Building) of High Court of Orissa, Cuttack. The Governor of Odisha will administer the Oath of the Office to the Chief Justice-designate.

Hon’ble Judges and Hon’ble Former Judges of High Court of Orissa including other high dignitaries will grace the said function. Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh has been appointed as the next Chief Justice of Orissa High Court. The Central government on February 2, 2024 issued a notification regarding the new appointment of Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh, who is presently a Judge in Patna High Court.

It is to be noted here that Justice Singh will assume charge from the present acting chief justice Bidyut Ranjan Sarangi, who was appointed with effect from October 4, 2023 following superannuation of Chief Justice Subhasis Talapatra on October 3, 2023.
