Bhubaneswar: Sulochana Das, who left Congress after feeling ‘suffocated’ to join the BJD a few weeks ago, was appointed spokesperson of the ruling party on Sunday. She was also the spokesperson of Odisha Congress before joining the BJD.
The BJD declared the names of its new spokespersons and panelists.
Apart from Sulochana, the other 10 BJD spokespersons are Pratap Deb, Prasanna Acharya, Debi Prasad Mishra, Amar Satpathy, Arun Sahoo, Rabi Narayan Nanda, Debashish Samantaray, Prasanta Nanda, Samir Dash and Dr. Sasmit Patra.
Tejeswar Parida, Santosh Amat, Sulata Deo, Dr. Debasish Marandi, Chinmaya Sahoo, Ranapratap Patra, Mihir Mohanty, Lenin Mohanty, Dr. Raseswari Panigrahi, Subash Singh and Byomkesh Ray have been named as the panelists of the regional outfit.
Meanwhile, Rajendra Prasad Dholakia has been appointed BJD’s Nuapada District President.
