Puri: Special arrangements by Puri police shall be made for crowd management in the City and Jagannath temple ahead of New Year 2024.
The police force in Puri has been briefed by the ACP today relating to the crowd management and facilitation of trouble-free darshan of Lord Jagannath.
It has been estimated that more than one lakh devotees shall reach the holy city of Puri for darshan of the holy Trinity in the new year. Police force has been increased in almost all parts of Puri to manage the crowd.
The security of the people, management of the traffic and the darshan of Lord Jagannath shall be given special priority said the ACP in the meeting in which he briefed the police officers of Puri.
In order to manage the crowd effectively, the Badadanda and the Jagannath Temple has been divided into a number of sectors, the ACP informed.
It has been decided that the temple shall remain open till late hours of night and then again open early to help the devotees and make their visit hassle free.
