Keonjhar: In a shocking incident, shopkeepers have beaten up devotees near Maa Tarini Temple in Ghatagaon of Keonjhar district in Odisha.

The violence by a shopkeeper was experienced in Ghatagaon today. The shopkeeper allegedly hit a devotee and broke his nose. A devotee who had come to see Maa Tarini was beaten up by a shopkeeper.

Reports say that, the devotees who were attacked came from Bhansala village in Bhadrak district of Odisha for darshan when the incident took place.

There was an argument about the price of coconut when he bought bhog from the shop of coconut vendor Balaram Mahakud in front of the temple. Devotee Badal Mohanty went from that shop to another shop and bought the coconut.

The shopkeeper got angry and abused the devotee. As Badal objected to this, the shopkeeper got angry and attacked Badal. After the complaint was made, the police detained the accused and is investigating into the matter. Detailed reports awaited in this matter.
