Secretary to Odisha CM (5T) VK Pandian takes voluntary retirement (VRS), said reliable reports on Monday. 

Bhubaneswar: Secretary to Odisha CM (5T) VK Pandian takes voluntary retirement (VRS), said reliable reports on Monday.

According to reports, the Secretary to the Chief Minister (5T) VK Pandian has taken voluntary retirement.

It is worth mentioning here that, the VRS of VK Pandian has been approved by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) of the Central Government.

The approval letter reads as follows, “In reference to letter No.GAD-SER1-PERS-0100-2014 dated 20.10.2023 from. Government of Odisha on the above mentioned subject, I am directed to convey the approval of the competent authority for acceptance of voluntary retirement of Shri V Kartikeya Pandian, IAS(OD-2000) under Rule 16(2A) of All India Services (Death-cum- Retirement benefits) Rules, 1958 with waiver of the notice period as recommended by the State Government.”

Further it is worth mentioning that, the 2000-batch IAS VK Pandian served for 23 years in Odisha Government, said reliable reports. VK Pandian as the face of 5T transformation evoked good response from people. Discussions are on in the political scenario that after the VRS, will VK Pandian step into Odisha politics.
