Bhubaneswar: Odisha based Miniature artist and sculptor L Eswar Rao from Jatani has created a unique pencil art of 0.5 inches on the occasion of the International Women’s Day 2020. This pencil art is of a miniature woman on the nib of a pencil.
It seems unbelievable to think that even in the tip of a pencil a sculpture work can be created. But the artist has perfectly carved the art. Hats off to him.
Rao has created this miniature sculpture in order to spread awareness about women empowerment, women safety and women’s rights in the prevalent Indian society. The Indian society which was a traditional patriarchal society. The role of women was finite and was restricted to only specific tasks. They were considered inferior than men.
The traditional mentality is quite irrelevant in the present society, where women are becoming successful in all walks of life. This is the age of Feminism and women have equal rights. It is high time that people should acknowledge it and pay respect to women said the sculptor.
