According to reports, a fine of as much as five lakh fine on a passenger private bus has been imposed. A total fine of rupees 4 lakh 98 thousand 764 rupees has been fined for violating the provisions of the Transport Act.
A private bus named ‘Singhbahini’ has been fined by the Talcher Transport Officer. Rs. 10,000 fine has been imposed for driving without a permit under 192 (a) and a fine of Rs. 4,88,764 for tax arrears, said reliable reports.
The bus has been impounded at Pallahada police station along with a fine. According to information, this bus has been violating the transport law for a long time and has been fined under the new Motor Vehicle Act, Talcher RTO has informed. The bus was going from Khamar to Kolkata.
