At least 3000 BSF personnel from Odisha will be deployed in Chhattisgarh for an anti-mao operation called Operation Kagar.

Bhubaneswar: At least 3000 BSF personnel from Odisha will be deployed in Chhattisgarh for an anti-mao operation called Operation Kagar.

Reports say that, 3000 BSF jawans and an equal number of ITBP units will start an operation
in the Naxal-dominated area of Abujhmad. This Operation shall aim to intensify anti-Maoist operations said official sources.

Repots say that the Border Security Force (BSF) shall create new bases in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh, one of such bases shall be established in Malkangiri of Odisha.

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has been asked to move one unit further inside the core area of Abujhmad. This is almost 4,000 sq km forest area which is considered a stronghold of armed Naxal cadres.
