OLA cab driver who was abducted from Bhubaneswar rescued from Jajapur district

OLA cab driver, who was abducted by some unidentified miscreants from Bhubaneswar yesterday, was rescued from Aruha village in Dahrmasala of Jajapur district of Odisha today.

One Pintu Sahu (33) of Kinjal Garden of Patrapada area of the State Capital City was kidnapped by some miscreants from near his house yesterday evening at about 8 PM for a ransom of Rs 10 lakh.

Khandagiri Police, based on the complaint filed by Pintu’s family members, formed a special team and started an investigation into the matter after registering a case no.614 dtd 28.12.23 under section 363/365/323/34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Today, on a tip off, three accused persons were apprehended and the victim was rescued by police team from an abandoned cottage near Arua under Dharmasala Police station limits of Jajpur district.

The arrested persons have been identified as Lucky, Mantu and Milu. Further search operation is underway to trace two other kidnappers who are still at large.

Lucky was the driver of Pintu. He is the mastermind of the abduction and after Pintu’s kidnap, it is Lucky who had gone to the Khandagiri Police to file the case.
