Odisha’s weather likely to get hotter as Mercury touches 35 degrees

Bhubaneswar: The temperature of Odisha is changing rapidly. However, in the month of February, where the world is experiencing the departure of winter, Odisha’s mercury level has raised to 35 degree Celsius.

The day temperature in Odisha has been recorded to 35 degrees on Tuesday, while the night temperature was 24 degrees.

According to Odisha’s weather department, the temperature of the state is likely to rise by 3 to 7 degrees in upcoming days.

On Tuesday, over 13 cities of Odisha recorded day temperature over 33 degrees. Paralakhemundi and Bhawanipatna recorded highest temperature with 35 degree Celsius. While Titlagarh and Malkangiri’s mercury level was at 34.5 degrees.

The capital city of Bhubaneswar recorded a hike in temperature yesterday. At day time, the city has a temperature of 34.4 degrees, while Cuttack recorded 33 degree Celsius.

Odisha’s weather is likely to get hotter in the upcoming days, as per official reports.

Earlier, yellow warning for dense fog over eight districts was issued by the IMD. The eight districts where dense fog was likely to be seen till 8.30 AM of February 7 are Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal and Nayagarh.

Meanwhile, shallow to moderate fog were very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Ganjam, Kandhamal, Koraput, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur and at one or two places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha. Besides, dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha, forecasted Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

Light rain and thundershower likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Nuapada and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha between 8.30 AM of 10th February and 8.30 AM of 11th February.
