Odisha’s Titlagarh bandh for 12-hours today
Titlagarh in Bargarh of Odisha closed due to demand of district status, Titlagarh District Action Committee has called the 12-hour bandh.
Balangir: Life came to a standstill in Titlagarh Sub Division in the district today following a dawn-to-dusk bandh call given by Titlagarh District Action Committee demanding district status for the area.
Schools, colleges, shops and other business establishments remained closed in view of the bandh. The bandh started at around 6 am in the morning. There was picketing at several places in Titlagarh town.
Vehicular movement on the roads also came to a standstill due to the bandh observation and commuters faced a tough time in the absence of private and government buses.
Notably, the Committee has been holding protests in front of various government offices in Titlagarh since a long time. Due to the protest official works have been badly hit in the subdivision.
