Odisha Transportation Dept imposed fine of Rs 2.63 lakh on truck driver in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Transportation Department of Odisha imposed a fine of Rs 2,63,500 on a truck driver in Bhubaneswar on Saturday for violating rules.

Reportedly, the driver was riding the truck without a tax and without a license in the capital city. The Regional Transport Office (RTO)-2 intercepted the heavy vehicle while checking.

The Bridge and Roof Company (India) Limited’s truck has been heavily fined. A total of Rs 2,28,000 for tax, Rs 10,000 for the license, Rs 10,000 for pollution, and others have been slapped.
