Odisha: Sambalpur university mental torture allegation, professor suspended

Sambalpur: In a shocking incident, a professor of Sambalpur University in Odisha has been suspended due to mental torture allegations, said reports.

The Sambalpur University mental torture allegation has been taken very seriously by the Vice Chancellor (VC), said reports on Sunday.

Assistant Professor Rajat Kujur of Sambalpur University was accused of mentally torturing a female professor. The female professor complained in writing to the VC. The chancellor has taken the incident seriously.

A five-member team has been formed to investigate the incident. Earlier, Rajat Kujur was suspended for almost two months on charges of breach of discipline.

Proceedings in the case of harassment of female professor of Sambalpur University is underway. Assistant Professor of Political Science Rajat Kujur was suspended.  The Registrar of the university has suspended the assistant professor.
