Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police appealed people to keep distance from blind belief like sorcery, witchcraft etc. In an X post Police asked people not to torture physically or mentally somebody by doubting him/her of practising sorcery.
Odisha Police on Thursday took to X platform (formerly Twitter) and appealed to the citizen in a message. Police said in the message that practices like sorcery, witchcraft, spell etc. are completely blind belief.
Police further appealed in the post to not to torture anybody physically or mentally doubting him/her of practising sorcery. The message further said that if someone falls victim to such crime he/she can lodge a complaint at the nearest police station or they can call on phone number 112 to lodge a complaint.
It is to be noted that in the last few years a number of such cases related to sorcery have been reported.
