However later, The fire brigade team rescued him safely. A man in Subarnapur area of Banki block in Cuttack attempted suicide by jumping from Jatmundia Bridge.
Seeing the young man, the locals informed the Dampada fire department. Later, fire brigade team and Subarnapur police reached the spot and rescued the youth.
The young man came from Bhubaneswar on a bike and parked it on the bridge. Later he jumped into the river. According to information, the youth had a fight with his family. The young man tried to commit suicide by jumping into the river for the fear of being beaten up by his family.
