OAS Bimalendu Ray appointed as Collector of Sonepur district

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government on Friday appointed OAS officer Bimalendu Ray as the new Collector of Sonepur district.

He was serving as the Special Secretary to Government, Works Department.

“In exercise of the powers conferred under section 20(1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 (Act II of 1974), the State Government do hereby appoint Shri Bimalendu Ray, OAS (SS) as the District Magistrate in the district of Sonepur,” an official notification of the General Administration & Public Grievance Department said.

Earlier, Ray was posted as Joint Secretary, Cooperation Department, Joint Commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation and Deputy Commissioner of Sambalpur Municipal Corporation.
