Murder over witchcraft suspicion in Keonjhar: Seven awarded life imprisonment
Keonjhar additional district sessions court today sentenced seven persons to life imprisonment and fined each of them of Rs 10,000 for murdering a man over witchcraft suspicion four years ago.
Keonjhar: Keonjhar additional district sessions court today sentenced seven persons to life imprisonment and fined each of them of Rs 10,000 for murdering a man over witchcraft suspicion four years ago.
The seven persons who were sentenced to the life imprisonment are Rabindra Munda, Narhari Munda, Balabhadra Munda, Baisakhu Munda, Chema Munda, Tura Munda and Tima Munda.
The court found them guilty and awarded them life imprisonment based on the statements of 13 witnesses and other evidence.
The convicts had brutally killed Dinbandhu Munda of Sendakapa village under Keonjhar Sadar police station on suspicion of practicing black magic on April 14, 2019.
Keonjhar Sadar police had registered a case of murder and in course of probe arrested all the accused forwarded them to court.
