Kandhamal MP Achyuta Samanta meets VK Pandian, congratulates for his new appointment

Bhubaneswar: Kandhamal MP Achyuta Samanta today met 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian and congratulated for his new appointment as the Vice President of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD).

Taking to his X handle, Samanta said that he deserves to the Vice President of the State ruling party because of his commitment and persistent effort for Odisha’s development.

“Congratulations and a warm welcome to Sri VK Pandian Ji on joining the BJD party. Because of his commitment & persistent effort for the development of Odisha, he deserves this position, & I believe that his association will bring even greater benefits to our state and the party,” Samanta said.

A day after he joined the BJD, the party president and Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik appointment Pandian as the Vice President of the party today.

Pandian resigned from his IAS job in October and subsequently, he was appointed chairman of 5T and Nabin Odisha programmes in the state.

Pandian, a native of Tamil Nadu and a 2000-batch IAS officer of the Odisha cadre. took voluntary retirement (VRS) earlier on October 23, 2023 after serving 23 years in Odisha Government.
