Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, after a man died in the blast at hospital in Bhubaneswar, his wife killed herself on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Manas Samantaray.
According to reports, his wife Soumyashree Jena committed suicide on hearing the news of her husbands’ death that took place on Sunday. She has committed suicide in her paternal home in Nuagaon village of Jatni, said reports.
Reports say that, her body has been sent for postmortem in the Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar. An Unnatural Death (UD) case has been registered in this regard. They had married just two years back.
In the tragic incident of the blast at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar, one person identified as Manas Samantaray had succumbed said reports on Sunday. At least four to five people were said to be injured following a blast at a private medical College and Hospital in Pandra area of Bhubaneswar on December 29.
According to CEO of the hospital, Jyoti Ranjan Panda, the explosion occurred at around 6.15 pm during out-door AC gas filling due to short-circuit.
“Four persons were injured in the incident. They are undergoing treatment at the ICU of the hospital. A total of 25 doctors and 40 nurses were providing them treatment,” he said adding that the situation is under control and none of the patients was affected due to the blast,
However, panic gripped the patients and their attendants following the blast.
