Major fire breaks out in a market of Odisha’s Bhadrak, Over 15 shops burnt to ashes

Over 15 shops were gutted in a major fire broke out at Rathapada market of Basudevpur of Odisha's Bhadrak on Wednesday night.

Basudevpur: A major fire broke out at Rathapada market of Basudevpur of Odisha’s Bhadrak on Wednesday night. Over 15 shops were burnt to ashes in the fire. The Fire brigade has managed to put out the fire. However, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Sources said that a shop in the Rathapada market in Earam Panchayat suddenly caught fire around 2 pm late at night. then the fire spread from one shop to another. The goods worth lakhs in those 15 shops were burned to ashes as the fire was burning so terribly that it was very difficult to take anything out of the shops.

On being informed, the Basudevpur and Dhamara fire brigade reached the spot immediately. The fire personnel doused the fire after 2 hours of effort.
