CM Naveen Patnaik to inaugurate Laxmi Bus service in Koraput district today

Koraput: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will virtually inaugurate the Laxmi Bus service through video conferencing in the Koraput district of Odisha on Thursday.
According to sources, the bus service will operate through 55 routes in 10 blocks of the district. A total of 45 buses will be in service.

Prior to this, the state govermenet has already started the Laxmi bus service in five districts including Malkangiri, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Rayagada, and Nabarangpur. Including the Koraput district, the state government plans to provide the Laxmi bus only in these six districts in the intial phase. The govoernment will be investigating Rs 3,178 crore in 3 years for the Laxmi Bus Yojana.

The government aims to strengthen the transport service in the rurakl areas with the Laxmi Bus Yojana.
