Khordha: The Assistant Executive Engineer/ Sub Divisional Officer of Irrigation Division in Khordha district has been caught red-handed by Odisha Vigilance on Monday for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 10,000. The Supervisor has been identified as Kamadeba Biswal.
Reportedly, Kamadeba demanded and accepted the bribe amount to facilitate payment of the bill amounting to Rs 10,00,000.
The entire bribe money has been recovered from Biswal and seized from his possession.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance Police has registered a case under sections 7 P.C.(Amendment)Act 2018. An investigation is in progress against Biswal.
A residential house search of Biswal is underway at Bhimpur Mouza, Aerodrome Area in Bhubaneswar. Further investigation is underway.
