Kharabela Swain makes a return to BJP

Bhubaneswar: In morale boost for Odisha BJP ahead of the upcoming general election, party’s former leader MA Kharabela Swain returned to its fold today.

Swain re-joined the saffron party in the presence of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at party’s State headquarters in the city where several other leaders including Samir Mohanty also remained present to welcome him.

After joining BJP, Swain in his reaction, expressed happiness over his return and claimed that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi India has emerged out to be a strong state in the world. Being inspired by the development initiative of Modi he decided to re-join BJP, added the former Balasore MP.

Announcing about his next course of action, Swain said BJP will field him from Kandhamal Lok Sabha Constituency in the upcoming general election.

Notably, Swain was a three-time BJP MP from Balasore Lok Sabha constituency. In 2009, he had left the BJP and floated a new party namely Utkal Bharat.
