Kalabaisakhi likely in Odisha, alert issued for 22 districts in next 24hrs

Bhubaneswar: Kalabaisakhi likely in Odisha, 22 districts on alert said the latest report of the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar on Monday. Today, the hottest city in the state is the capital of Odisha Bhubaneswar. Bhubaneswar today recorded the highest day time temperature of 43.8 degrees Celsius. This temperature was recorded at 2:30 p.m.  Following this temperature, Bhubaneswar broke its own record of the year 2024.

According to reports, Balasore was the second hottest city in Odisha at 40.7°C and the third hottest in Odisha was Jharsuguda at 40.4°C. Temperature by 2:30 pm today said that Bhubaneswar is the hottest city in Odisha.

The Regional Meteorological Center has predicted the possibility of intermittent rain in 22 districts for the next 24 hours. Intermittent rain is likely in different parts of the state till April 24, 2024, said the latest report of the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar.

The temperature will decrease by two to three degrees due to the effect of Kalabaisakhi. From April 25, it will increase again. On the other hand, for the next 24 hours, a yellow warning for rain and thunderstorm has been issued for Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Khurda, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balangir, Boudh, Jajpur, Dhenkanal and Nuapada districts, said the MeT.
