Goat thief caught, made to move around with shoe garland in Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: In a recent incident, a goat thief was caught by the villagers in Sanakhudi village within the limits of Basta Police station in Balasore.

The accused has been identified as Karunakar Das of the village. Allegedly, he had stolen a goat from one of the houses in the village on Saturday.

The goat was stolen from the house of Bansidhar Das, resident of the same village. Reportedly, Bansidhar and his son were able to catch Karunakar in time. Following which, the accused was heavily beaten by the women of the village.

He was even forced to move around the village wearing a garland of shoes. Karunakar was then arrested by the Basta Police.
