Fraud astrologer Nilambar Pani arrested for alleged sexual assault in Odisha
The fraud astrologer Nilambar Pani has been arrested for alleged sexually assault in Bhadrak district of Odisha.
Bhadrak: The fraud astrologer Nilambar Pani has been arrested for alleged sexually assault in Bhadrak district of Odisha. The fraudster has been arrested from Pirahat area of Bhadrak by Nayapalli police.
It has further been alleged that the said fraud astrologer had siphoned off huge amount of money from various people in Bhubaneswar. He has also allegedly threatened people to give him a number of apartments in Bhubaneswar.
The Commissionerate police arrested an astrologer for allegedly raping a woman from Bhadrak area on Thursday. The accused has been identified as Nilambar Pani. Reports say, Pani came in contact with a decent family in Bhubaneswar.
The victim was married, but could not conceive. So she was regularly paying visit to the self claimed astrologer, who promised to help her conceiving a child. He then gave her some cloves and asked her to chew it and then allegedly raped her in a closed room on pretext of helping her conceive child.
Later, the victim lodged a complaint against Pani at the police station. On further investigation, the police has arrested the fraud astrologer.
The Commissionerate police have also found out that Pani has duped many woman by posting such videos on social media. They have also requested if any woman has fallen prey to this fraud, they should lodge a complaint against the accused at the nearest police station.
