Puri: The first coordination committee meeting on Rath Yatra is scheduled to be held on Saturday, said reliable reports in this regard. The first preparation and review meeting is going to be held in Puri today for the upcoming ride.
According to reliable reports, the meeting will start at 11 am. The meeting will be held under the chairmanship of the Central Revenue Commissioner at Puri Town Hall. The preparation of various departments for the world-famous Rath Yatra on July 7 will be reviewed in the meeting said relaible reports.
In particular, the preparation of the rath construction, wood supply, road repair, drinking water supply, electricity supply, law and order system, food supply, sanitation system, health department will all be reviewed. This year crowd management and systematic rituals will be a major challenge as Nabajaubana, Netrautsav and Rath Yatra are scheduled to fall on the same day. The management of this will also be discussed in details in the meeting.
Senior officials of various departments will be present in the meeting and will share information about the preparation of their respective departments. In this meeting, servitor representatives, intellectuals of the city, institutions and media representatives will participate in the discussion.
Along with this, all the departments will be directed to finalize their own preparations and action plans to rectify the mistakes and problems that had been faced during the annual car festival of Lord Jagannath last year.
