In a heart wrenching incident, a man raped his own minor daughter in Balimela town of Odisha's Malkangiri district.
Malkangiri: In a heartwrenching incident, a man raped his own minor daughter in Balimela town of Odisha’s Malkangiri district. The accused has been identified as Nimei Sarkar.
According to sources, the accused raped his minor daughter on November 5 and threatened to not disclose it in front of anyone. Reportedly, Nimei Sarkar had a quarrel with his wife eight months ago, after which she left the accused’s house with their younger son. Following this, the 13-year-old victim was handling the household chores for so many days.
On November 5, while the minor girl was sleeping at night, the accused came near her and brutally raped her. He also accused the victim to not tell about it to anyone. However, she spoke her ordeal in front of one of her neighbor.
After knowing about the incident, the neighbor immediately reported about the incident to the nearby police station.
On receiving information, police reached the spot and arrested Nimei. The cops have also registered a case against the accused and initiated a probe into the matter.
