Fake doctor arrested from Ganjam of Odisha

Ganjam: Police have arrested a fake doctor from a medicine shop on Singpur road near Digapahandi police station in Ganjam district of Odisha.

The fake doctor had been visiting the medicine shop for two to four days a week since a long time to treat patients.

The SP of Berhampur had ordered an inquiry after a police complaint was filed. It is worth mentioning that a family member of a patient from the area had became seriously ill after being treated by the fake doctor and had then complained to the police.

After that, the police went to the medicine store and checked the papers and certificates and arrested the fake doctor. The police found out that he was providing treatment to people by lying and pretending to be a doctor.

The police have identified the arrested fake doctor as Subhrajit Panda of Sanda village under Parjang police station limits in Dhenkanal district.

The police are questioning him further in this matter. A detailed report is awaited in this case.
