It is worth mentioning here that an elderly woman fell in a borewell hole in Odisha’s Sonepur district said reliable reports on Tuesday, rescue operations are underway.
The old woman fell into the borewell hole. The accident took place near Kaimphul on Sonepur-Burdl road. It is feared to be trapped in a 20-foot-deep borewell, said reports.
According to reports, her name is Dukhi Naik and her age is 80 years. She had gone to Gobindpur village under Khaliapali panchayat to her daughters house. Dukhi fell into the borewell when she she had gone to the forest to make a broom, said reliable reports in this regard.
The fire brigade team from Sonepur and the NDRF reached the spot and is carrying out rescue operations. On the other hand, intensive work was going on to rescue the old woman from the borewell.
Oxygen had been piped in to keep her alive. This information was given by the Fire DG Sudhanshu Sarangi. A parallel road had been constructed to rescue the elderly woman. It took 45 minutes to an hour to reach her. There was a snake along with the woman in the borewell hole, added the rescue team.
