Dreaded criminal Raghu Biswal injured in police encounter in Bhubaneswar
Ahead of New year, dreaded criminal Raghu Biswal has been injured in an encounter by the Police Commissionerate in Bhubaneswar.
Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the New year, dreaded criminal Raghu Biswal has been injured in an encounter by the Commissionerate Police in Bhubaneswar. The encounter took place on the Baliyatra field in Bhubaneswar. He was reportedly shot in his left leg. Raghu was first taken to the Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar and later shifted to SCB Medical in Cuttack.
The incident took place during the late night hours on Wednesday when the Mancheswar police and a special squad spotted Raghu during a joint patrol. Reliable reports state that the criminal Raghu Biswal was the first to fire a bullet at the police. He was injured in the gunfire that followed.
Mancheswar Police seized a pistol from Raghu. Raghu Biswal is a member of Rabi Rao’s gang. Further, the Mancheswar police have initiated a search operation to catch Raghu’s accomplice, who managed to flee from the scene.
