Puri: A 67-year-old devotee from Madhya Pradesh passed away after falling sick inside Sri Jagannath temple premises here on Thursday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Anurat Singh.
As per the report, Anurat had visited Srimandir along with his family members this morning. He complained of uneasiness and fell sick soon after having darshan of the deities and was rushed to Puri District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) by his kin where doctors declared him brought dead.
Singhadwara Police has lodged a case of unnatural death in connection with the incident and sent the body for autopsy.
