Sundergarh: A trader was hacked to death by unidentified miscreants in Patrapali area under Sundergarh town last night.
The deceased has been identified as Rinku Gupta.
Rinku who was running a shop in the supermarket located near the old bus stand was en-route to home after business at around 10 pm when the attack took place.
A group of bike-borne assailants intercepted him a few yards away from the market and attacked with sharp weapons. The victim died on the spot due to grievous injuries sustained during the attack.
Sundergarh Town Police rushed to the spot and seized the body for autopsy.
A manhunt has been launched by police to catch the absconding miscreants who are suspected to have carried out the killing to settle an old score.
