COVID-19 Vaccine Arrives In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The first consignment of the COVID-19 vaccines dispatched by the Serum Institute of India (SII), Pune reached Odisha on Tuesday at around 3.28 pm.

The vaccines reached at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in a special SpiceJet cargo flight.

Reports said, the consignment brought 34 cases of Covishield vaccine containing about 40,800 vials of vaccines having 4.08 lakh doses.

 

The vaccines will be kept at the State Vaccination Storage facility from where they will be sent to the Regional Vaccination Centers and then to the District Vaccination Centers.

On January 16 the health workers will be vaccinated in the first phase under the supervision of the members of the State Monitoring Committee.
