Salepur: In a tragic incident a couple was attacked in Cuttack district of Odisha while sleeping, said reliable reports on Thursday.
According to reports, the couple was fatally attacked while sleeping. The attack left the husband dead and the wife critical.
This brutal attack happened in Nischintkoili area of Cuttack district. The deceased has been identified as Hara Krishna and his wife has been identified as Annapurna.
Annapurna is said to be critical and has been shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack of Odisha.
Couple attacked in Salepur that is Hara Krishna and Annapurna own a breakfast shop. Last night, some miscreants killed two people while they were sleeping in the shop.
Police are still investigating who and why attacked them. Salepur Police Station Officer, SDPO Salepur and Cuttack Rural Additional SP Krishna Prasad Patnaik have reached the spot and are continuing the investigation.
On the September 24, a miscreant killed businessman Dogobind Das in Jania Bazar. In the last 15 days, two murders have raised questions about the safety of traders.
