Class 9 girl student found hanging in Malkangiri, suicide suspected
A Class 9 girl student was found hanging under mysterious circumstances at a school in Motu near Kalimela of Malkangiri district today.
Malkangiri: A Class 9 girl student was found hanging under mysterious circumstances at a school in Motu near Kalimela of Malkangiri district today. The deceased girl was identified as Puja Kanja of Ginipali village in the district.
According to reports, Puja was studying at Madhusudan High School in Motu. However, her body was recovered from a hostel room in a hanging state. While the exact reason behind her death is yet to be known, it is suspected that she committed suicide.
The school staff soon informed the Motu Police about Puja’s death following which a team of coos reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
Police also seized the body for post-mortem and informed Puja’s family members about her death.
Meanwhile, a pall of gloom descended on the locality following the girl’s mysterious death.
