Chhatrapur councilor murder: Call record reveals BJP spokesperson Golak’s links with conspirators

Bhubaneswar: In a major setback for BJP spokesperson Golak Mohapatra, the call details of his number on Sunday revealed that he had often spoken with Krushna Chandra Nayak, one of the two conspirators arrested in connection with the murder of Chhatrapur councillor Laxmidutta Pradhan.
According to reports, the call details of Mohapatra’s number had received calls from Nayak’s number between September 15 and October 22.
The BJP leader is said to have received calls from the conspirator of the crime while he was in Chhatrapur, Cuttack, Calcutta and Uttarakhand along with other conspirators Duryodhan Reddy.
The saffron party spokesperson had spoken with the criminal 3 times on September 15, once on September 16 and 3 times on September 17.
The call record further revealed that Mohapatra had received calls 18 times from Nayak while the later was in Uttarakhand from where they were arrested.
Nayak had informed the police during integration that Golak had made all arrangement for them till they were arrested.
Addressing a press meet here today, Mohapatra had refuted his link with the accused and demanded a CBI probe into the crime. The state BJP also had backed its leaders alleging that it was BJD’s political vendetta against Mohapatra.
