Boipariguda Police Station IIC in Vigilance net

He has reportedly been intercepted while carrying Rs 2 lakh 70 thousand cash

Koraput: The Inspector in Charge (IIC) of Boipariguda Police Station in Koraput district of Odisha has been intercepted by the sleuths of Odisha Vigilance on Monday. He has reportedly been detained by the officials from Jeypore Vigilance.

The tainted police officer has been identified as Sushanta Satpathy.

As per reports, the accused was carrying Rs 2 lakh 70 thousand cash and travelling in an OSRTC bus. After getting information from a reliable source about it Vigilance sleuths from Jeypore intercepted him near Tankua. Reportedly, cash money to the tune of Rs 2 lakh 70 thousand has been recovered from his possession. He was on his way to Cuttack from Boipariguda.

As of now, he reportedly is being interrogated. He has been detained by Jeypore Vigilance team in this connection.

As per latest reports, Rs 1,80,000 recovered from his office chamber at Boipariguda Police Station during search. That means a total cash amount of Rs 4.5 lakhs has been seized from the police IIC’s possession so far. He has been detained and is being examined in this connection.
