Blast at hospital in Bhubaneswar: 1 succumbs to injuries

Bhubaneswar: In the tragic incident of the blast at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar, one person has succumbed, said reports on Sunday.

At least four to five people are said to be injured following a blast at a private medical College and Hospital in Pandra area of Bhubaneswar on December 29.

According to CEO of the hospital, Jyoti Ranjan Panda, the explosion occurred at around 6.15 pm during out-door AC gas filling due to short-circuit.

“Four persons were injured in the incident. They are undergoing treatment at the ICU of the hospital. A total of 25 doctors and 40 nurses were providing them treatment,” he said adding that the situation is under control and none of the patients was affected due to the blast,

However, panic gripped the patients and their attendance following the blast.
