Bijoy Mohapatra, Dilip Ray likely to quit BJP tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: Rourkela MLA Dilip Ray and senior party leader Bijoy Mohapatra are likely to resign from the saffron party tomorrow, informed a reliable source.

Ray is also likely to resign from the legislator post, sources added.

Speaking about the development, state president of BJP Basant Panda said, “It is the personal decision of an individual to stay in the party or leave. None of them has informed in this regard. As per the assurance of Honuorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi the work is underway and the projects will complete as it is scheduled.”

Speculations were earlier rife about both the leaders saying goodbye to the saffron fold.

While Ray alleged negligence by the Centre towards construction of the second bridge on the Brahmani River and upgradation of Ispat General Hospital (IGH) into a Super Specialty Hospital in Rourkela.

Mohapatra, on the other hand, was seen questioning and criticising various schemes of the BJP-led government at the Centre time and again in the recent past.

The duo used to skip almost all the party programs.
