Anjana Mishra files defamation suit worth Rs. 10 crore against web series Baranga 1999

Bhubaneswar: The much-hyped Anjana Mishra matter has seen a significant development as she has filed a Rs 10 crore defamation suit against an Odisha-based OTT platform.
Reports say that, Anjana Mishra has filed the suit worth Rs 10 crore relating to defamation. The Defamation suit has been filed in the Bhubaneswar Senior Division Civil Judge’s Court against ‘Baranga 1999’ – a web series that filmed the incident that occurred with Anjana, in late 90s.
A defamation case has been filed against OTT platform Kanchalanka. Earlier, Anjana Mishra had given a legal notice to them. Due to non-retraction of the alleged content by the OTT platform, Anjana has filed a defamation suit of Rs. 10 crores against the web series maker. Anjana Mishra’s lawyer Bibhu Prasad Tripathi gave this information.
Meanwhile, Akshaya Parija’s response to this matter was that, “we have not received any notice regarding the defamation suit. All legal notices have been answered.”
