Bhubaneswar: In the wake of coronavirus threat , the Odisha Government has decided to lock down five districts and other prominent cities from March 22 to March 29, 2020.
Five districts of the state which will be completely locked down include– Khorda, Cuttack, Angul, Ganjam and Kendrapara.
Besides eight major cities and towns will face lock down during the period. These are: Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Balasore, Rourkela, Bhadrak, Puri, Jajpur Road and Jajpur Town.
Tenure of the lock down will start from 7 AM of March 22 Sunday to 9 PM of March 29, 2020.
Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik urged people of Odisha to obey the above restriction that has been imposed keeping in view of the deadly coronavirus outbreak.
As per reports, the lock down has been ordered for these five districts as these districts have the highest number of people who have recently returned from corona affected foreign countries.

However, during the lock down period, the entities offering essential and emergency services like hospitals, clinics, medical shops, grocery shops, restaurants (only takeaways, home deliveries) vegetables, meat and milk shops/ bread and bakery, Railways, Bus stands, Airports and public transport will remain opened. Besides, administration, police, health, fire, ODRAF, electricity, water, municipal services, banks, ATMs, petrol pumps shall remain open.

Everything is open. hospitals, clinics, medical shops, grocery shops, restaurants, vegetables, meat and milk shops/ bread and bakery, Railways, Bus stands, Airports and public transport will remain opened. Besides, administration, police, health, fire, ODRAF, electricity, water, municipal services, banks, ATMs, petrol pumps shall remain open. So where is lockdown?

In our village side side every shops are open and there is no lockdown like situation…..
