3 kgs gold, Rs 2 lakh looted from jeweler in broad daylight in Odisha

Gunupur: Cash worth two lakh and three kgs gold has been looted in broad daylight from a jeweler in Gunupur of  Rayagada district on Tuesday.

According to reports, two motorcycle-borne miscreants snatched 3 kg gold ornaments and Rs 2 lakh in cash from the jeweler outside his shop near Haladia canal in Gunupur.

Onlooker said that, the jeweller was just about to open his shop when the incident took place.

The shop owner has lodged a complaint with the police.
