3 including relative detained on charges of gang-raping a woman in Paradip

Paradip: Police detained at least three persons on charges of gang-raping a woman in Paradip area of Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district on Wednesday night.

According to sources, the accused persons including one of her relatives and his two friends were detained based on the complaints filed by the woman at Lock Police Station.

Police are interrogating the accused persons and reportedly sent the victim for medical test to asserting the reality of the allegation.

As allegedly by the woman, she left the house in the evening for some unknown reasons. She reportedly met one of his relatives, who along with his two friends, with a promise to drop her at the house, took her to a house at Dochhaki in Paradip and raped her one by one throughout the night.

The accused then fled by leaving her at the spot. However, she managed to move and reach the police station where she filed the complaint, based on which, cops registered a case and started an investigation into the matter.
