2 injured after man attacks villagers with axe in Odisha’s Bhadrak

Chandbali: In a tragic incident, two people were left injured after a man attacked villagers with an axe in Odisha’s Bhadrak district. The incident took place in Palashpur village under the limits of Chandbali police station in Bhadrak, reliable reports confirmed.

As per reports from reliable sources, the accused man Bhimsen from Basudevpur village had come to his maternal uncle’s village in Chandbali. During the evening hours of Wednesday, Bhimsen terrorized the entire village for about two to three hours. Reportedly, he attacked anyone who came in his way with an axe. Some people who went to stop him were also attacked. Two people were reported injured.

Upon receiving information about the incident, officials from the Chandbali police station arrived at the spot. After much efforts, police were able to capture the man. They took him into questioning. Reports after initial investigation suggest that the man Bhimsen is mentally disturbed.
