Dhenkanal: An elephant tramples and kills 1 woman and critically injures a man in Matia Sahi, Babanda village of Hindol block.
The attack happened in the wee hours of morning. The husband and wife were sleeping in their hut, as the elephant rushed in.
The hut was completely destroyed.
The wife, Sajani Pradhan was crushed to death on the spot.
The husband, Bharat Pradhan has been critically injured. He was rushed to SCB, Hospital, Cuttack.
The forest officials reached the village and tried to shoo away the elephant.
