A man allegedly killed his new-born son in Madhya Pradesh’s Betul district as he was disappointed over not having a daughter.
Betul: A man allegedly killed his new-born son in Madhya Pradesh’s Betul district as he was disappointed over not having a daughter. The incident has come to the fore from Bajjarwad village under Kotwali police station limits of the district.
The accused, identified as, Anil Uikey already had two sons and wanted a girl. According to reports, Anil was inebriated when he beat up his wife and snatched their 12-day-old son from her. His wife fled the spot as she was scared of being beaten up further.
However, when the accused’s wife returned home, she found the baby dead. There were marks of strangulation on the baby’s neck.
Following the incident, a FIR has been registered against Uikey under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Based on the FIR, the cops have arrested Anil Uikey and further investigation is underway.
